Before you start:
Your ads must be published, not left in draft,
Your ads must be paused in Meta Ads Manager,
You must complete the onboarding steps for your Mediads Workspace.
How Mediads reads your campaign setup
When you activate an amplification, Mediads changes the display page of your ad (Facebook page, Instagram account, TikTok profile, LinkedIn page) to that of a partner: a media brand or a content creator.
The change takes effect when the partner approves your ad. The full sequence is described in the end-to-end process for activating an amplification on your campaign.
Does Mediads work for your industry?
Mediads does not restrict amplification by industry. The mechanism is the same whatever you sell, because all it changes is the page your ad is delivered from.
A few regulated topics are the exception: they cannot be delivered from a partner's page at all, because the authorisation Meta requires for them is tied to your own page and cannot move with the ad.
What Mediads partners, media brands and content creators, accept on their own page is their editorial decision. See the specific guidelines of each partner in the Mediads Catalog, and Understanding media guidelines: a short list of sectors is refused by some partners.
Which Meta campaigns can be amplified?
These campaign types can be submitted to a partner today.
Conversions and Sales
Conversions and Sales campaigns are fully compatible, including Advantage+ Shopping campaigns. The only exception is the Collection format, see below.
Traffic
Traffic campaigns sending people to a website, a blog or a landing page are fully compatible.
Lead generation
Lead generation campaigns are compatible, whether the form is hosted on your own website or in your CRM (HubSpot, Brevo, Salesforce and so on), or is a native Meta Instant Form.
For a native Instant Form, the partner's Facebook page must have accepted Meta's Lead Ads Terms of Service once. Until it has, your amplification stays waiting for approval: this is the one case where the partner, not you, has to act.
App promotion
Modern app promotion campaigns are compatible.
Two exceptions: the legacy app install objective is blocked, and fully automated Advantage+ App campaigns cannot be amplified.
Good to know: Your app has to be shared with Mediads. If it is not, your amplification stays waiting for approval with a message asking you to add Mediads as a partner on the app.
Awareness, Engagement, Reach and Video Views
Awareness, Brand Awareness, Reach, Engagement and Video Views campaigns are compatible. For these objectives, Mediads duplicates your ad set with the partner's page when the partner approves, so your original campaign and ad set are never modified.
Image, Video and Carousel formats
All the standard creative formats are supported: image, video and carousel. The Collection format is not, see below.
Which campaigns cannot be amplified?
These cases cannot be delivered from a partner's page at all. Each one carries the workaround, where there is one.
Website and calls objective
With the Website and calls or Calls objective, Meta ties the phone number shown to your own Facebook or Instagram page, and removes it as soon as another display page is used.
To generate calls through Mediads, use a Traffic or Conversions campaign pointing to a landing page that carries your number or a click-to-call button. Before activating, check in your ad set settings that the conversion location is set to Website only.
Click-to-WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram Direct
When the destination of the click is a messaging thread, the messaging account is linked to your Facebook page and displaying from a partner's page breaks that link. Replace the call to action with a link to your website.
This concerns the destination, not the placements: Meta placements themselves are compatible with amplification.
Boosting an existing organic post
A boosted existing post belongs to your Facebook page and cannot be redisplayed from a partner's page.
Recreate it in Meta Ads Manager as a new ad (image, video or carousel), name it following the ad naming convention, and submit it.
Collection format
The Collection format cannot be delivered from a partner's page: the canvas it opens belongs to your own page.
Rebuild the creative as an image, a video or a carousel.
Page Likes and event responses
Campaigns that optimise for page likes or event responses cannot be amplified. Both are attached to your own page by definition, so no action on your side unblocks them.
Facebook Offer ads
An ad built on a Facebook Offer cannot be amplified.
Rebuild the ad with a standard creative: image, video or carousel.
Creative customization per placement
An ad that customises its creative per placement cannot be amplified.
Remove the customization in Meta Ads Manager, then submit the ad again.
Ads rejected by Meta
An ad in Disapproved status cannot be delivered, so it cannot be amplified either.
Fix the reason in Meta Ads Manager, then submit it again. This is Meta refusing to deliver your ad for its own policy reasons: it has nothing to do with Mediads.
Archived ads, ad sets and campaigns
Archived items cannot be delivered or modified.
Unarchive the item in Meta Ads Manager, then submit it again.
Ads without a creative
An ad with no image, video or carousel attached cannot be reviewed by a partner. Add a creative in Meta Ads Manager, then submit it again.
